Dovetail and Screwhead tape evolved from a series of discussions on furniture construction and whether structural detail could carry decorative qualities or change the perceived value of an object.

The Phillips head screw was first used in the 1930’s on automated car assembly lines. Its cross-shaped indentation provided greater grip and location with the new power drivers used in factories.

Through its ease of use it has become a popular method of joining materials for both manufacturers and the DIY enthusiast alike.
